Torre del Lago Puccini: a wide sandy beach under the sun near a green, shady pine-wood and the lake. “This is Paradise”, exclaimed Giacomo Puccini when he first came here in a shooting party with some friends. Today this lovely part of Tuscany still preserves its natural landscape and is an excellent place for a relaxing holiday. Being ideally situated between Lake Massaciuccoli and the Tyrrenian sea and in close proximity to the Apuan Alps and the Migliarino-S.Rossore-Massaciuccoli Natural Parc, Torre del Lago Puccini is the perfect point of departure for trips in the area or to the art centres and other towns nearby.<\/p>\n

The villa where the composer Giacomo Puccini lived houses documents and mementos of his life. The annual Opera Festival, which has been held on the lakeside near his house every summer since 1930, combines the suggesive magic of the music and the beautiful setting to make anevening at the opera an unforgettable experience.<\/p>\n

Torre del Lago Puccini, also interesting from a naturalistic point of view, is on of the quietest seaside resorts along the Versilia coast; Versilia offes people of all ages an extremely lively atmosphere with its discos and seafront promenades where the tourist can enjoy walking, shopping or simply sittig at a table in one of the many outdoor caf\u00e8s.<\/p>\n

Summer has liven up by trendy places, parties and events, little markets in the centre and musical evenings.<\/p>\n

For a lovely excursion you can reach in a few minutes Viareggio: a suggestive and lively town where you can find wonderful Liberty jeuels, wide beaches, ancient caf\u00e8 and elegant buildings.<\/p>\n

Pisa is in close proximity. Few minutes to admire her countless romanic churches and Piazza dei Miracoli, the Torre Pendente, the Baptistry and the majestic Cathedral. Lucca is easily reachable too: twenty minutes to get to, and you can visit his fashinatig historical centre.<\/p>\n

Not far , dip in the nature, you can find the medieval Garfagnana or, if you want you can easily go to Pietrasanta or visit Forte dei Marmi.<\/p>\n

Florence, finally, is only few km away, in about an hour you can reach it.<\/p>\n
